The Landings Association has many committees on which you can volunteer to serve and provide your expertise. A brief description of each committee is listed below. The Landings Association reviews applications each fall, with one-year appointments normally occurring at the December Board Meeting.
Architectural Review - This is a Regulatory Committee. It reviews and approves plans regarding new construction as well as modifications to property and existing construction.
Communications - This is a Standing Committee, providing advice to The Landings Association’s General Manager. It reviews and inputs into the media used to distribute the news of The Landings Association, and examines resident feedback.
Development - This is a Standing Committee, providing advice to The Landings Association's General Manager. It focuses on enhancing both private and common property through methods such as education, communication and organization of events to highlight improvements.
Finance - This is a Board Committee. It reviews overall finances as well as purchases by The Landings Association.
Governmental Affairs - This is a Standing Committee, providing advice to The Landings Association’s General Manager. It reviews projects affecting The Landings, and helps build relationships with elected and appointed officials.
Insurance and Risk Management - This is a Standing Committee, providing Property & Casualty Insurance and Risk Management advice to The Landings Association's General Manager and Staff. It serves as an advisory committee.
Marinas - This is a Standing Committee, providing advice to The Landings Association's General Manager. It promotes the marinas throughout the community and the larger Savannah area by planning, organizing, and promoting educational and social programs.
Public Works - This is a Standing Committee, providing advice to The Landings Association’s General Manager. It and its many subcommittees review all aspects of the living and fixed infrastructure of The Landings.
Security - This is a Standing Committee, providing advice to The Landings Association's General Manager. It focuses on enhancing the level of security at The Landings through projects such as education of residents, community outreach, crime prevention activities and cooperative working relationships with other Skidaway Island entities.
In addition, several other committees are comprised solely of Directors on The Landings Associations’ Board: Executive, Governance, and Strategic Planning.
Other committees, such as Elections, Nominating, and Teller are short-term special committees.
The Neighbors Helping Neighbors Committee (formerly Resident Resources) helps those residents in need.
The Water Committee reviews water and wastewater issues.
Finally, ad hoc committees may be created during the year to serve specific purposes. |
